Description
For those of you who care how I did, I'll go through it for you.
I took the original eye and copied the eyeball and iris separately.
I chose a light blue and green colour and used the gradient tool over the iris.
I used the 'Replace Colour' tool in the 'Enhance' menu to change the colour of the sparkles from orange to green. I then used the same tool to change the skin colour to blue.
I applied the same method to the extra stars and sparkles I added before I positioned them around the eye. I changed their layer to 'Hard Light' and erased the background.
I used the 'Adjust Hue/Saturation' tool to change the colours of the eagle's feathers to aqua and positioned them over the top of the picture but behind the eyeball. I did the same with the peacock feathers but did not recolour them.
I adjusted those two layers to 'Overlay' with opacity between 40 and 55. (Note: I use a lot of layers when I'm experimenting and normally leave a lot of them out of the finished product.)
I burnt areas around the eye to add shadows and highlights.
Finally, I did the border by dragging a square selection and then inversing it. On a seperate layer I then filled it with solid black. Ta-dah!
